Sarah J. Felker, a member of our Breslau team, was named one of 2014's Top 40 Under 40 in the June 19th edition of the Guelph Mercury.
The top 40 Under 40 is an annual list of special Guelphites under the age of 40, each noted for their unique quality of character and exceptional contributions to their community. The awards started in 2008, and have become a highlight for the Mercury ever since.
Sarah has known from a young age that she wanted to be a musician, At the age of 13, she began performing anywhere and everywhere she could, at venues in the Guelph, Kitchener/Waterloo and Cambridge areas.
In 2009 after performing one evening, Sarah was invited to attend the Songstudio Songwriter’s Workshop in Toronto, where she is proud and honoured to have played great venues such as: C’est What and Hugh’s Room, as well as being backed on stage by the amazing Rik Emmett. Returning for the 2010 workshop, Sarah was pleasantly surprised to be presented with the “Damn Good” award for excellence in songwriting.
In Sarah's own words: "I love music and I don’t think I will ever stop loving it. I love performing. That is the No. 1 thing I love about music. It’s being able to share my gift with others."
Thank you Sarah for making our community a better place.
