PLANT OF THE MONTH: Syringa meyeri ‘Palibin’

Springtime means colour, and Lilacs have no shortage of it. Blooming in mid may, this Dwarf Korean Lilac produces fragrant pale lilac flowers. This colourful plant attracts birds, butterflies and is easy to care for.

Growing Conditions: They prefer partial to full sun and must be watered regularly during this first season to establish a strong root system.

Size: This dwarf, spreading lilac will grow 4 – 6ft in height and up to 7ft wide.

Hardiness: Adaptable to zone 5

Where to Plant: This flowering shrub can be used in a border or grouped to form a hedge.

Plant Partners: Great companions are: Boxwood, Weigela, Mock Orange, Peony, Maiden Grass, Coneflower
