Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

Everything is better with bacon, and asparagus is no exception.

This easy to prepare dish is a great way to use the last of the Ontario asparagus (in season May & June). Throw some on the BBQ and prepare to impress your guests.

### Ingredients
– Asparagus
– Turkey Bacon
– Wooden Skewers
– 1 Lemon or lime

### Directions:
1. Soak your skewers in water so they don’t catch fire while grilling. While skewers are soaking, trim asparagus of woody ends and cut the asparagus into 1 to 1 ½ inch lengths (about the width of your bacon).
2. Cut your bacon straps and wrap bacon around each piece of asparagus, with some overlap on each end. Thread bacon wrapped asparagus onto skewers.
3. Cook skewers of asparagus on your grill over medium high heat for 5-6 minutes, then turn and grill for another 5 minutes until bacon is cooked and crisp and asparagus is tender. (Tip: using tongs to pick up and turn skewers ensures all asparagus pieces are turned at the same time.)
4. Service with sliced lemons or limes
